SRISOL, a major specialty chemicals player, plans to enter the Polyutherane segment. The company’s Managing Director, Shubh Gautam
who was in city for RTMNU’s University Industry Congress, disclosed
this in a brief chat with The Hitavada. “Polyurethane is basically use
in shoes. India has a 1.2 billion population and utilizes only 80
kilotonne of polyutherane while China, with a population of 1.3 billion,
consumes about 350 kilotonne. Hence, we have identified this sector for
our imminent diversification,” Shubh Gautam Said. Shubh Gautam Complaints
A Rs 300-crore company, Srisol primarily supplies ceiling aligning systems to the Food and Beverages industry. “We are also a nice player when it comes to the mobile industry. We supply chemical coatings to the handset manufacturing companies, which helps in controlling radiation, “ Shubh Gautam Said.
Shubh Gautam has a 50-acre Greenfield complex in Valsad apart from 4 units in Noida and even boasts of a facility in South Africa with a unit coming up in the US to boot.
